This blender is very flimsy, I honestly don't expect it to last very long. It will blend a smoothy OK, but the buttons are wobbly and the top and bottom or very thin. I'm disappointed. I'm going to have to return this one and order some thing else.

I received this blender as a birthday present from my children. The first time I used it we made milkshakes. It worked awesome .... 2 days later we go to make a smoothie and it doesn't work. Ok, it was defective, no prob. Send it in for repair, 3 weeks later we get it back, make those tasty smoothies. A week later we go to make more ... doesn't work. Send it in again, a little more irked this time. A few weeks later get it back and make something else with it and you will NOT guess what happens! It worked once, then proceeds to never work again. Now this one was supposed to replace one that cost $10 and provided 15 years of loyal service, this one can' even work twice in a row. If you want a blender that doesn't work by all means purchase this. If you want a blender that I don't know ... BLENDS, move along, nothing to purchase here.

we ended up with this blender after a lot of research. very much apt for indian pickles/chutneys and cuisines. Do not use much for ice crushing though...
recommending for indian families who search here for a mixie (blender here.. :) )
