After my old Targus hard-vinyl backpack-type rolling case had finally seen too many thousands of miles in its 8+ years -- its wheels were squeaking more than the occasional squirt of WD-40 could quell, and its handle was just starting to rip at one of its anchor points -- I had to find another as similar as possible.
I wanted a small case - one just large enough for a laptop plus some files and a few extras like power supply, VOIP headset + charger. I didn't need nor want one capable of serving as a computer carry + overnighter. But this is the smallest one I could find that got good enough reviews. And the dimensions weren't too far off from my beloved old backpack case.
Overall, this is a great case. But it's extremely well-padded, in every section. Imo, OVERLY well-padded - since you really only need padding for the laptop area, and the rest just adds to unnecessary bulk/size/weight. My old case had padding only around the laptop area, which left tons of room for files, chargers, accessories, etc. This one, not so much.
I can fit my 15.6" work laptop plus about 3" worth of files plus my VOIP headset and all the power cords/chargers. Plus if I ever wanted to, I could fit a change of clothes in the rear-most compartment. I could also fit my home 17" Dell Studio laptop in it, with about the same amount of room remaining for accessories/chargers/clothes.
I never thought I'd use the extra laptop case, but actually I just may: It's big enough for my 15.6" work laptop plus about 2" of files/papers.
This case -- and the extra laptop bag -- seem extremely well made, with super-quiet, smooth wheels (for now, anyway!), solid zippers, comfortable handles, and plenty of options for storing all that you typically haul along with your laptop. And the price: Not to be beat.
And, Beach Camera was SUPERB - I ordered mid-morning on a Friday and by that evening it was already shipped. Arrived on my porch the following Monday. Amazing.
I would highly recommend this case for anyone not needing the smallest-possible rolling case. And for anyone who'd want to use it as an overnight + computer case, especially since the extra laptop bag is designed to slip over the handle of this so they can be carried conveniently together.

So far, very durable. Easy to manipulate. Plenty of room inside for the computer case that came with it and a teacher's daily necessities.

It is well-made rolling bag. It has pretty big storage space and is very sturdy. A small laptop bag is a big bonus when you don't want to carry whole rolling case.
