I followed the directions to a t, washing my brown rice, measuring water correctly, seating the bowl, closing the lid...water spewing out during entire cooking process

So far we like this rice cooker. We are inexperienced with rice cookers, so we did not know what to expect. our first batch of rice got tossed because it did not have enough water in it.
The only negative things that I can say regarding this product is that the rice cup that comes with the cooker is useless, throw it out. it has measurement markings, but they are not accurate. use a real measuring cup. also, the instructions/recipes are lacking for the unit, so it is a trial and error kind of appliance. Also, it does not cook 3 cups. like other reviews, I would say between 2-2.5 cups, depending on the type of rice.
On the positive side, it cooks quickly, and is VERY easy to clean.

I would recommened this.

I cannot speak to its' durability as I have only had it a short period of time.

This is a great rice cooker for sushi and risotto rice. Fill the plastic cup that comes with the rice cooker twicePanasonic SRG06FG 3.3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker and add cold water to the .06 mark. You are good to go. We add Wasabi Fumi Furikake rice seasonings and a dash of sesame seed oil when we add water. The risotto rice tends to foam over the top when cooking, so we only fill to the 3-cup line and take a tablespoon of rice out of the plastic cup when filling. Easy! Easy! Easy!
